Paul E. Chandler, MAI

Founder & CEO

Mr. Chandler is a recognized industry leader whose 40 years of experience have turned Property Sciences into a national brand. Prior to forming Property Sciences, he was Senior Vice President of Corinthian Real Estate, where he provided financial institutions with market analysis, branching strategy and site acquisition consulting.

Mr. Chandler founded Commercial Lender magazine in 1995 and C-Lender.com in 1999, and grew them both into market share leaders prior to their purchase by Scotsman Publishing in 2001. He is the former publisher of the California Housing Report, a frequent speaker at real estate events throughout the United States, and host to many professional educational venues. Active within the mortgage industry, Mr. Chandler has received numerous industry awards including the Affiliate of the Year Award, the highest honor presented to a non-mortgage broker by the Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Mr. Chandler holds an MBA with an emphasis in real estate from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, he holds a California Real Estate Broker's License and previously was an N.A.S.D. General Securities Registered Principal. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute holding the MAI designation and is a state certified appraiser with the General Certification.

Dean Huynh

President

Mr. Huynh joined Property Sciences in 2003 as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser. His appraisal experience includes a variety of complex property types including valuations of subdivisions, lodging properties and condominium developments. He currently serves in managerial capacities for the Residential, Commercial, and IT Divisions. Utilizing his background roles in IT development and project design specifications, he serves as the bridge between Property Sciences' business operations and technology teams, overseeing the implementation of integration projects, workflow optimizations, and other IT-related initiatives. Currently, he sits on the MISMO Property & Valuation Services Workgroup, tasked with ensuring that data elements related to property identification and valuation services are identified and logically arranged and serving as a communication bridge between valuation professionals and the end users of their services.

Mr. Huynh graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics with a Programming Specialization. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

David Kim

Chief Operating Officer

Joining Property Sciences in 2005, Mr. Kim's high level of talent quickly earned him increasing levels of responsibility. A systematic and clear thinker, he has steered the company's operations for nearly two decades and into one of the largest providers of valuation services in the United States today. As the COO of Property Sciences, David now serves as the primary operating steward of the Property Sciences' brand, leading organizational change throughout the firm, enabling the execution of the company's most important initiatives, and guiding all aspects of the firm's overall business strategy and long-term strategic vision.

Mr. Kim earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with concentrations in Econometrics, Managerial Economics, and Finance from the University of California at Davis. He is also a graduate of CMBA's Future Leaders Program.

Megan Colin

SVP, Operations

Ms. Colin joined the Residential Division at Property Sciences in 2012. After spending several years working through the Client Services department, Ms. Colin transitioned into company Operations in 2015 and has most recently become the National Operations Manager in early 2019. In her current role, she oversees the company’s day to day operations, ensuring execution of short and long term goals for the company and lender clients. Her role includes serving as a bridge between the Company’s operations and technology teams, overseeing the implementation of integration projects, workflow efficiencies and other IT-related initiatives.

Ms. Colin is a graduate of the California Mortgage Bankers Association’s Future Leaders Program class of 2016 and served as mentor for the class of 2017. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of California with a B.S. in Economics.

Brant A. Sheaffer, MAI-AI-GRS

Executive Managing Director, Commercial Division

Mr. Sheaffer rejoined Property Sciences in 2016 as Vice President, Regional Manager of the Pacific Northwest Region. He originally began his appraisal career in his first stint with Property Sciences from 2002 until 2006. Having spent the past decade working in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Sheaffer has completed assignments throughout various markets in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Prior to joining Property Sciences, Mr. Sheaffer was a Senior Valuation Specialist with Colliers International where he worked on a multifamily team dealing with a high volume of appraisals for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac originators. Mr. Sheaffer also has extensive experience in valuation of hospitality and retail fuel properties. Prior to working for Colliers, Mr. Sheaffer worked for CBRE as a Senior Appraiser in their Portland and Seattle offices focusing on institutional properties.

Mr. Sheaffer graduated from California State University, Hayward with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Sheaffer is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Chad Martin, MAI

Managing Director, Commercial Division

Mr. Martin is currently Managing Director, Commercial Division, but has fulfilled several key roles since joining Property Sciences in 2012, including Regional Manager for Southern California where he built successful recruiting and training programs to help build the next generation of competent commercial appraisers. His wide range of valuation experience includes vacant land, multifamily, mixed-use, office, retail, subdivision, industrial, lodging facilities, service stations and a variety of other property types.

During his accomplished valuation career, Mr. Martin completed the prestigious California Mortgage Bankers Association’s Future Leaders Program in 2017.

Mr. Martin attained an MBA with concentration in Finance from Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg BS in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute holding the MAI designation and was conferred the AI-GRS designation.

Paul O’Riordan

Chief Appraiser, Residential Division

Mr. O'Riordan establishes and maintains appraisal policies regarding all residential valuation products, assists in the resolution of valuation dispute escalations, and ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements as they relate to collateral valuations. A 24-year veteran of the real estate industry, his specialties include multi-million dollar residential property valuations and appraisal review, as well as market analysis for residential real estate throughout the United States.

Mr. O'Riordan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Economy of Industrial Society from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser.

Robert Middleton

Mr. Middleton started his appraisal career by joining Property Sciences in 2005. After becoming a California Licensed Appraiser, he was a Staff Appraiser and a Senior QC Reviewer. In his current role, he oversees the company's Residential Staff Appraisers. He also actively identifies areas of opportunity to expand staff appraiser coverage throughout the country.

Milan Jarolim

QC Director, Residential Division

Mr. Jarolim's comprehensive background includes 11 years as the Chief Appraiser for IndyMac Bank's Wholesale Division, where he specialized in implementing automated valuation models for collateral risk assessment, appraisal review training and nationwide appraisal review. In his current role, he administers the company’s quality control program, using his 30 years of professional experience to design and implement specifications for quality grading standards and policies, directing the department to ensure that the highest standards for quality are maintained, and functioning as conduit between the company's appraisers and customers.

Mr. Jarolim earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate and Land Use Affairs from Sacramento State University. He is a Certified Residential Appraiser.

Khaira Wilson

VP, Compliance

As VP of Compliance, Ms. Wilson’s roles include development and maintenance of the company’s regulatory compliance programs. This includes serving as Chair of the Company’s Compliance Committee as well as managing Appraiser Independence programs, policies and procedures, due-diligence documentation, internal audits, employee compliance training, USPAP compliance reviews, and AMC licensing across all fifty states. Her previous positions at Property Sciences include serving as Senior QC Reviewer and Litigation Project Coordinator.

Prior to joining the Property Sciences team in 2009, Ms. Wilson served as District Appraisal Manager for Wells Fargo covering North Orange County and South Los Angeles County. Ms. Wilson brings to her position over 15 years of experience in the appraisal field as well as several years of corporate experience supporting compliance, auditing and other leadership roles.

Ms. Wilson attended the University of Phoenix, Fountain Valley, CA and Berkeley College, Westchester County, NY and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management. She is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser.

Jason Massey

CTO

A hands-on technical expert with extensive communications training, Mr. Massey brings Property Sciences his 30 years of experience managing large projects in mission critical environments. With a background in IT architecture, software development, and mortgage banking business development, his diverse credentials include Senior Programmer for Citibank, VP of Marketing and eCommerce Product Manager for Bank of America, and owner of several businesses, most recently Virtual Shaping, a virtualization and software development company. Mr. Massey has long been recognized for creating airtight software and hardware infrastructure, and for analytical and practical skills that bring technological solutions to all aspects of the business process.

Mr. Massey was a student in the Rhetoric Department at University of California, Berkeley, until he was recruited by Citibank.
