With years of combined experience and excellent academic training, Property Sciences is uniquely qualified to advise you in your most important real estate collateral decisions. |
Paul Chandler, MAI - President and CEO
Founded Property Sciences in 1984. He has been a real estate analyst for over twenty years.
Prior to forming Property Sciences, he was Senior Vice President of Corinthian Real Estate,
providing market analysis, branching strategy and site acquisition consulting to financial
institutions. Mr. Chandler holds an MBA with an emphasis in real estate from the Haas School
of Business, University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Business Administration with an
emphasis in finance from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Certified General
Real Estate Appraiser and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in California. |
Bernard Duer - Vice President, Appraisal Review Joined Property
Sciences in 1988. His previous position was as a Senior Research Analyst with Roulac Real Estate
Consulting Group of Deloite & Touche. Prior to moving to California, he worked for the New York
City Planning Commission in the retail section. Mr. Duer received a BS in Biology from St. Francis
College and an MA in Economic Geography from Columbia University. He is a Certified General Real
Estate Appraiser in California. |
Russell (Leang) Tiv - Vice President, Southern California
Joined Property Sciences in 1998. His first four years with the company were in the Northern
California corporate office as a staff appraiser, trainer, and reviewer. In 2002, Mr. Tiv relocated
to Los Angeles to help expand Property Sciences’ presence in the Southern California and Las Vegas markets.
Mr. Tiv holds a B.A in Architecture and a minor in City and Regional Planning from the University of
California at Berkeley. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. |
Doug LaRocca - Vice President, Training
Joined Property Sciences in 1997 in the residential group. He moved over to the commercial
group in 1998, where he stayed until accepting his current position. During his four years
performing commercial assignments, Mr. LaRocca worked on all major property types and many
special use properties. He brings considerable depth of experience to the PropSci University
classes he teaches. He has a B.A. in Psychology from St. Patrick's College and a S.T.B. in
Theology from Gregorian University, Rome. He is a licensed Appraiser in California. |
Matt DuBois - Vice President, Technology
Joined Property Sciences in 1995. Mr. DuBois oversees technology operations and directly
manages the IT infrastructure. Mr. Dubois has over 10 years experience managing financial
operations and computer networks. Prior to joining Property Sciences, Mr. DuBois was the
Controller/MIS Director for Creative Advertising Concepts, Inc. Mr. DuBois attended Mercer
College, Mercer, New Jersey.

Jeff Spiegel - Partner, Schoenholz & Spiegel, LLP
Mr. Spiegel is the Outside CPA for Property Sciences. He is a member of the California Association
of Mortgage Brokers, where he has served as a director and on a number of committees. He received
the 1996 Statewide Affiliate of the Year Award along with local chapter awards in 1992, 1993, 1994,
1996, and 1997, in recognition of his continuing contributions and dedication to the industry.
Mr. Spiegel is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the California Society of CPA’s.
He received his BS degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and is a certified public
accountant in the states of California and Nevada. |
